Good Morning. Deviled eggs are Halloween food, right?

Ok, I'm making all kinds of goodies with pumpkin today but I have to watch the carbs too, so I'm making 13 deviled eggs. {evil laugh}  There's more than one way to skin the black cat. For those of you that fall into a candy trap starting about now and don't come out until after Presidents Day in February, get yourselves some dark dark chocolate and substitute the dark chocolate when you feel a candy craving coming on. There's also a chocolate protein shake cake recipe floating around here in a post this morning. I'll add it in a bit.

I hope you all have a truly wicked weekend!

Here we go. You can sub some canned pumkin for some of the oil if you like. From Maria...

I do crave chocolate at times. I love to melt bite size pieces of good dark chocolate on my tongue and try to savour the feel and the tast. 365 brand had bite size pieces at whole foods that are the perfect size for me.
I also love the protein shake cake. One of the DS'r  beemerbeeper posted this recipe and its AWESOME!

3-4 tblsp splenda ( I only use 1)
1 tblsp packed dark ****oa powder
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
3 tblspn oil (I only use 1 1/2, does come out a little dryer though)
Stir ingredients together add enough water to make smooth, not grainy. I use about 2 tblsp.
Microwave for 35-45 seconds. Can make in a bowl or mug. Top with a little whip cream for an awesome treat!

Good luck and enjoy!

Brahhaaa!  Love it when your evil side sneaks through!! lol

Deviled eggs  with a lil deviled ham  yummo!

I also find brushing my teeth or chewing really minty gum helps to keep me out of the goodies, unless its a york peppermint patty.

Off to a clam bake today! My pouch loves clams thank goodness. Wont be able to eat much else. Maybe a few bites of sweet potatoes, they are so yummy!

Please let beemerbeeper know that we love her for posting that shake cake recipe, it is delicious!

Have a wonderful day!

Hmmm.... can you give them to the kiddies?  That may be tough figuring out how to package them!!

I want to try the cake recipe again but with something else besides oil.  I'll post how it goes.

Jody, I almost spit out my coffee all over my keyboard! Just had the visual of dropping a deviled egg into someone's goody bag!

I read that recipe yesterday but didn't save it so thank you for re-posting.  I am on the hunt for recipes.  I cannot try it yet as I tried Price's flax muffin 6-8 weeks ago and was dry heaving for an hr......NOT fun......foamies initially......yuck!

I DO love eggs though and am very thankful that my pouch likes them in most versions....I make an egg bake almost every week from bariatric eating and I love boiled eggs.  You inspired me to boil some this weekend.

I get few trick or treaters so I will either leave the light off or maybe they will be getting a granola bar.   Or sugar free chocolate (I have a piece once a week or so).  Maybe I best leave the light off.  LOL.

Last week I bought a couple of bags of Snickers and Twix for trick or treating but my DH ate both bags.  Yesterday, I bought some bracelets that glow in the dark at Michael's (15 for a dollar) for trick or treating.  Can't wait to see his face  when he goes for more candy and finds the bracelets.

I love the bracelets idea!
Also, love that your husband will be grabbing for some chocolate and will come up with something like that instead!  Cute!!!
