Hi Elizabeth,

I totally am one of those people that needed a list also.  But the thing is, what works for some people doesn't work for others.  In the beginning it's all about getting in your fluids, protein and vitamins (as it is for the rest of our lives) but more so working up to the daily intake goals for them in the beginning.

I never had to do pureed.  We were just told to chew everything to a paste consistency before swallowing it.  I know you want something to "follow" but just try different protein sources and see what works for you.  Record on fitday.com or some other website to make sure you are getting in the protein you should.  We were told always eat protein first then veggies or fruit.  You will do great!

Hi Mara, just freakin' out a bit.  I've been using "the list" for 31 days and now was told to toss it aside.  I'm willing to give it a go.  Thanks for your encouragement.

I understand where you are coming from.  I do much better when I am limited and told what to do too.  I think that's why I don't stray from my regular menu every day.  I'm a pretty boring person but it works for me.

If you feel better following the 42 day plan then that's what you should do.  As long as you are getting in enough protein and you are feeling better every day then you should be fine.  Do they give you another menu after 42 days or do they just tell you to follow his other suggestions after that?

I never encourage anyone to start on food to soon (especially carbs).  I still eat a lot of the same foods that I started with 3 years ago.  If you get brave and add in other foods keep your portions small just like the plan you are doing now.

I'm going to have to check out that cake!!

I used to love apple cider but I haven't tried it since surgery.  I am so scared of dumping on the sugar.

Glad to see you are still getting your protein in!

lol  Yep, a few different things. The glass of wine knocked me right out. It was dessert wine and I go into a carb comma when I drink it.
