WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

Going shopping on my day off with DD#3 and two 3 year old DGD and DGS.  I've got to buy dress pants that fit better.  I hate to give up my size 2's but it's time.  Everything has settled in my mid section.  If I could just afford plastic surgery I'd be back in my 2's again.

The only thing I'd really like to get done for sure is my tummy and butt..they are so saggy and pants just don't fit well and then I have to buy longer (bigger) shirts to cover them.  My legs are bad above the knee but now one sees those but my family.  My boobs are bad too but Victoria Secret does wonders for them and DH has finally accepted them....LOL

It sounds like you are really trying hard to get that protein in....

Have fun shopping Roz!  Wish I was doing that today! AND, even if you go up one size, you are still a "Skinny Mini"!

Maria, I copied and pasted the mug chocolate protein cake recipe you posted on the "chocolate cravings" post.  I may have to try that tonight, I've been craving chocolate all week!

AWE...thanks!!   I think the hardest part is going from looser summer clothes to tighter fitting winter ones. It will take me a few weeks to get used to them again.  Ended up  getting the 4P.  The 2's still fasten but tight in the crutch....I really need my butt pulled up.

Let me know how you liked the protein cake!

Good Job Today!

Hi Roz, shopping sounds like fun.  But I actually know how hard it is to shop with 2 little ones.  My DD#2 has 3, ages 2, 4, & 6.  Shopping is almost impossible with all of them.  I hope you have good luck finding what you like.

Disappointed in my appt. with the Bariatric Post Op. Care Manager (not a doctor).  He went over my 1 month labs and said everything looks okay for now and started me a that huge list of supplements that all of you are already taking and also increased my B12 sub-lingual to 3 times a week.  My issue with him was the darn menu plan that Kaiser handed out in our Options class that was required.  It is very specific and starts from day 1 - day 42.  I had some questions for him and he said, "Oh, those are only suggestions some people need to see it in writing, you just eat a high protein, low fat, carbs mainly vegetables, limit fruit, avoid starches and sugars".  He also said to make sure anything I eat is soft and not solid like steak.  That really frustrated me because I am one of those people that like to have a list to go by and now he's telling me to forget the list.  I asked him if I need to continue to puree everything and he said, "No".  I want to do everything right and not mess up or irritate my pouch.  So would you suggest until the 42 day just continue what I've been eating then gradually add other foods?  I need advice.  Sorry for such a long post. Thanks.  Elizabeth
