Do you have hungry days and not very hungry days?

Yesterday I seemed to want to munch all day long. I felt hungry. Was eating a little something about every 2 hours.

Now this morning, I cant even seem to finish my protein coffee. Just seems so odd.

Hormones?  Dont know. Or is it just a finicky pouch?

Hoping it is just  not me!

I'm finding that the further from surgery I get, the more my hunger acts like it did before surgery.  So around my TOM, I tend to be more hungry.  If I don't get enough sleep, I tend to be hungry.

Other days, I can't figure out why my hunger fluctuates.  I wish I was one of those VSG surgery people that hardly ever gets hungry.  Still, the hunger is nowhere near the levels that it was before surgery.

This happens to me all the time and I cant quite put my finger on it either. I will say that the monthly curse does tend to make me munchier than normal though

Yep - happens here too, even 3 years out.  Last couple of days it has been tight and only 1 protein coffee for me today too, so far.

I've deceided that I'm doing something wrong because I've been starving since surgery. I'm eating like I'm supposed to, getting more that enough water, and taking my ppi. Who knows. Read somewhere that it should get better at 5 weeks.

You're not doing anything wrong at all Wade.  Just follow your plan and watch the changes as they come. That's the one constant.  LOL

Wade,

My 3rd and 4th week were a hunger nightmare.  I kept thinking what did i do?  I can't live like this.  Then week 5 it got more manageable.  Don't get me wrong I'd eat and be hungry an hour later, so i was white knuckling it but it wasn't disrupting my day or thought process the way it had done previously.  Couple of week ago i realized i was looking at the clock to gage when to eat.  It took that long.  Now i don't know where the hunger went to but i damn well want it to stay there.  hopefully yours is packing a bag as we speak.  Good luck

Oh Wade the first month after surgery I was HUNGRY and weak because I was healing from major surgery and not eating anything ...or at least barely 600 calories a day...that first month was the hardest...but once you start eating other things and get your strength back you will be fine and your appetite will diminish....yeah it's always like that....and psychologically not eating for the first month is is difficult too so your head has to catch up and it's a BIG adjustment....it will get better....hang in there..SEAVIEW

Glad to hear I am not the only.

I remember feeling hungry postop. I also remember not being able to feel full, I remember doing a lot of measuring in the beginning. I wanted to make sure I didnt stretch things out.

Thanks guys!
