day THREE of five day pouch test

  I made it through the two days of liquid protein.
  I did it...! 
  I feel wonderful...awake...sharper mentally...(if that's possible for a middle aged woman)
  lighter ...more in control and.....drumroll....not hungry!
  So what can I say...it's wonderful...I'm actually a little worried about eating semi solid today.
  Looks like all I can eat is tuna fish with lemon on it...no mayo or anything...that 's ok I love tuna...
  So I will eat tuna all day and drink lots of fluids..
  I have not gotten on the scale because I don't want to be disappointed and then cheat..
  I realize that it's the food I eat that causes increased hunger....I have to rethink what I eat and 
  also how often I eat...that feeling of control goes away when I am not actively doing something
  like this...before I was eating but just mentally keeping track of what I ate...eating too many carbs
  and snacking little bits here and there between meals ...just being kind of out of control in general with the food...skipping meals...so the reality is I have become good at losing weight thanks to this surgery but I am still not on top of this maintenance thing...
  It's not that my food was really bad it's just that it started to be a slippery slope and I found myself reverting back to old behaviors...comfort eating again...particularly because my appetite seemed to have increased...which I now realize is due to carb addiction...so that's my rant for this morning...
NOW LET"S GET THRU THIS TUNA DAY....

Way to go Seaview! Enjoy your eggs and tuna today.

It reminds me of when I would do atkins preop, getting that sugar out of my system made me feel better mentally and not hungry all the time.

 Day one is the WORST..
it's an endless day that goes on forever...you feel miserable and unhappy and unpleasant...
but it does end and it's worth it ....go for it...keep us posted...maybe this will be a trend for many of us to get five days in before the holidays begin...beginning with halloween...SEAVIEW

Congrats!  I do know what you mean about how you feel when the carbs get out of your system. 

Eggs and Charlie today will taste yummy!

 Tuna in a can...tuna steak in a pouch....hard boiled eggs....tuna tuna tuna...
  What a day...
  I like the feeling of fullness I get from real food but prefer to drink warm liquids when hungry.
  I ate a tuna steak today from a pouch and let myself eat as much as I could...then I looked at
  how much I was able to eat...exactly three ounces....OMG ...my stomach has not stretched I have been eating the wrong things...triggering my appetite and eating  slider food....( lots of yogurt...cottage cheese...cheese...) so that's off my list when I get back to eating regular...
 I have a feeling that I am a dense protein ,,,, raw vegetable...and some grains...ie..not rice but
  whatever that other stuff is people eat at health food stores...person...
 dairy might become a thing of the past except for the cream in my coffee and tea twice a day...
 Anyhow this morning was hard but this afternoon is OK and I'm gliding into the end of day three...
 Can't wait to eat ground beef and turkey tomorrow...yum....

 OH chewing gum is out too....I did not know it was bad...but it keeps your pouch  moist all the time because you are swallowing liquid and then when you eat it slides easier...who knew? also it makes my stomach growl and stimulates appetite and saliva production...WHO KNEW...

Too funny that you are doing the 5 day pouch test. I have been talking about that this week. I am going to start on Monday next week. I cant wait to hear how things go for you. Be awesome to see if you lose some weight doing this. Because that is the one reason I want to do it.
