Saw the same girl in the mirror..till now!!
Today, I had to go to Motor vehicle to renew my drivers license. I gather all the docs, took an early lunch and went for what is usually a long dreaded wait, but today that did not happen. After only a short wait my number was called. I went up to the window, paid, and she asked me for a 2nd photo ID (Luckily I brought my passport) which also had a picture from 3 yrs ago. She processed my paperwork looked at me and said you clearly need a new picture. She took it and out the door I went with a new license. It was not until I got in the car that I looked at the new one and could not believe my eyes. Wow! Was that really me in the new photo? I whipped out the old one and compared the 2. In that moment, my whole life came together and I realized my accomplishment!
Sure I have seen myself in photos but not a close up "mug" shot like that.
For those of you still struggling with the person in the mirror...you "wake-up" moment will come and you will soon recognize that person in the mirror as YOU.
Thanks for listening.
