Room for another?

After 5 months and 3 appeals with my health insurance company finally approved my request to consult with a bariatric surgeon! I love what the letter says:
"As reviewed and completed by a board certified bariatric surgeon the requested medical care is MEDICALLY necessasry as you do meet our guidlines."

Woooo hooooo!
Room for another lightweight? I can't wait to hit the losers bench!

Shannon, welcome to the LW Board.  Good luck with your meeting.

Do you know what you have to do prior to surgery yet?  Do you have other guidelines you have to meet for your insurance?

After the consult I have to get a psych clearance and a nutrition consult. My Dr. doesn't do other testing unless you have a respiratory or cardiac history, which I don't.
IMy guess is surgery just after the 1st of the year!
