Back from Belgium

I'm back from a week and a half in Belgium. - the land of beer  , chocolate   and fish     I was able to eat the fish, so the dinners went well.   - Although all the waiters were convinced I didn't like their food after I ate about 1/4 cup.   It was a work trip, and we worked all weekends, in the end, we were successful, and I got to meet lots of new people who were really nice.

I had another attack of the killer stomach pains yesterday - lasted about 12 hours, so I'll be calling the doc on Monday morning, and cancelling a business trip (in the US) for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Happy Sunday!

Belgium is a beautiful country! But I'm glad you're home and can take care of that pain...

Eliza,
We vacationed a few days in Belgium 1 1/2 years ago.  My favorite splurge was the Belgium waffles with the ice cream and fresh strawberries on top then drizzled with chocolate syrup!  We brought chocolates home to the kids - can't believe we made it home without eating them but we did.

Gallbladder pain - nothing like it UGH.  I remember hanging off my bed with my head to the floor because someone told me to stand on my head (yeah right)  so I tried to hang off my bed.  The idea was that if it were a gallstone with gravity it might move and lessen the pain.  Did it work?  Nope.  But it was definately worth the try.  Hope you get it taken care of soon.

Welcome home. Eliza...get to your doctor as soon as you can.

I LOVE Belgium...spend a year there back in 1983-84. Lived in a tiny town called Cambron Casteau where there is an Abbey. Since there was not any on base housing for us in the area, we lived on the economy. I actually had an apt (house) on the Abbey grounds in the area near the stables...they converted an area into about 8 homes there.

In the building behind the white one that is in the center...those were the apartments: I saw that white building out my front door.
