When can I use my Bullet to blend protein drinks?

I'm 18 days post op and just wondering when I could use my Bullet to mix my protein drink with some ice?   I just want to jazz it up a bit.  Thanks in advance for your input.

Yesterday I pureed the moist pork meat from a rib (approx. 1 oz) and ate it with approximately 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes for dinner.  YUMMY, I felt like I joined the real world.  Today I'm making chicken and dumplings so I will puree the chicken and liquids and leave the dumplings for my husband.  My head is interested in food, but when it comes right down to eating my tummy has no interest.

Have a beautiful weekend everyone!

I don't know why you couldn't blend the protein drink.  I just have to be careful of too much air in my drink, even now.

Sure, shouldn't be a problem.  I use a similar one serving blender for my shakes at night.  Early out, cold didn't feel good so I did my protein mostly in hot/warm drinks, hot chocolate, protein tea, protein decaf.  Migh****ch the air to see if it bothers you but otherwise, go for it.

Sounds like you are doing great.

The only thing I might suggest is, if you are using Syntrax Nectar protein powder, I would use a www.blenderbottle.com rather than a Bullet because they tend to foam more than the rest.  Because of the foam, I don't use ice either... just cold water... and they turn out fine.

Haven't met you before, but congratulations on your recent surgery!!!!

Why can't you use it now?  I Was required to have a protein shake daily from the day I came home.  I wish I new about the home made shakes back then, they taste alot better than the store made ones I used and have alot more protein.  I bought a single serve blender by hamilton beach from walmart and it works great.  Fits my shake perfectly - no foam whatso ever.

Be careful with the mashed potatoes so early out - you want to concentrate on your protein.  Once I had 1 ounce of protein, that was all I could eat - if I then added 2 ounces of potatoes that would be too much.  My meals were limited to 1 ounce at a time 6 to 8 times per day - every 2 hours for the first month, then at 1 month, I was allowed to increase to 2 ounces.

definitely start using your blender for the shakes - I use  8 ounces of milk, 5 to 6 ice cubes, 2 tablespoons of SF chocolate syrup (torani), 1 1/2 scoops of chocolate protein powder from GNC, 2 tablespoons of SF chocolate pudding powder and 1 sliced banana.  blend for about 45 seconds until smooth.  Gives you about 45 grams of protein and delicious.
