rotten almonds

Ok so I love my new stomach for many reasons but this one is fantastic.  In the past when I got food poisoning I would throw up for an hour or so until I guess I cleared out everything.  A few nights ago I ate some almonds from the freezer.  They were fine except for one.  As soon as I chewed and swallowed it I realized it was bad.  Within 2 minutes I threw it up ( my first time throwing up since my surgery) and that was that.  I felt great and ate a plum.  Having never thrown up after surgery, I was scared to death to do it.  But it didn't seem nearly as traumatic as it was presurgery.  Weird huh?

I never threw up pre-surgery, but now I do!  But it's usually only what's in the tiny pouch, which isn't very much.

I'm a year out and still have never thrown up, knock on wood.  Here's hoping it won't be bad when it happens.  Glad you survived it.

With lapband I threw up several times a day.  Wth RNY I've only thrown up twice-both early on and both on lamb.  I can eat lamb now.  I agree with you though.  It wasn't that bad.  Throw up, done, move on.  Thank goodness.

I haven't thrown up in about a year but the last time I did was a doozy.  I had some chicken and it didn't agree and I got so sick.  I was throwing up all night, which was strange since I couldn't eat much.  I didn't know where it was coming from.  Thank God I don't have a problem with chicken any more.

ugh I have issues with chicken too.  It's the only protein I have trouble eating.  It feels so heavy.

the actual throwing up part isn't bad for me..its all the foamies and struggle to throw up that I hate..I think maybe because of the hernia repair I had...have a really hard time throwing up..luckily has only happened 3 times..and hasn't happened in like 6 months. Glad to hear that it wasn't a bad experience for you!

OMG.......last week I ate some chicken and I can say, without a doubt, it was pure hell for almost five hours. Guess I took it in too fast and/or didn't chew it well enough. Three bites in I felt a severe pain in stomach followed by the foamies. It took me two hours of suffering before throwing up but then felt better immediately. About half an hour later I took a single small sip of water and the agony started all over for another couple of hours. Couldn't thow up but sure prayed that I would!
