OT bladder surgery and self cathatering
on 10/8/11 1:50 pm
Please forgive me for posting here, not sure where to go for support. I have not posted here much lately. Lost the link to the forum. Anyway, I had a hysterectomy 11/2010. I have had leaking problem and infections ever since. After several courses of action, urologist is operating Tues to put bladder back in place and to correct some colon problems. Also bladder does not empty as it should on it's own.
Well I am told there is a chance--one in three that I will have to self-catheter long term-- like forever. I have been trained and it does not seem to be too big a deal but the thought of dealing with this forever makes me a bit upset. Any thoughts or advise?

I have had second thoughts, too. The thought of dealing with his leaking has really made me decide to go ahead and try to fix it. I have a fear of being old with no one to help me and have this problem.
Prayers or swinging whatever will be appreciated.
