Good Morning. Gotta get moving more.

Busy afternoon and evening yesterday. Met with my NUT and we went over labs and tweaked supplements. I can reduce my vitamin A, selenium, iron, and folate. We're going to double my K2 and retest all of these in 3 months and I'm going to go off my osteoporosis drug for 6 months and have a dexa scan this Spring.

Last night's support group was pretty good. We got a tour of a gym with personal trainers trained in helping obese, previously obese and folks with comorbidities similar to ours pre-op. The owner is a formerly obese person and still struggles with his weight as many of us do. I need to get walking to keep my metabolism up. Simple as that!

I have a busy day with the client today and maybe the rest of the week. So, y'all have a good one and stay on plan.

Sounds like you had a busy but good day.

I told my PCP this week that I would not do the Reclast again. Will discuss again next year.

I'm going to a support group tomorrow to hear a Local PS who does a lot of work with Bariatric patients.

I'd love to work with a personal trainer a little bit. Meanwhile I just keep walking.

1. Cost
2. Side effects I had....severe pain in my bones and joints for days
3. New recommendations coming out that will limit the time a person can be on this category of meds

Good Morning,

My support group is tonight.  I think we may have an addiction specialist speaker, or maybe it's next time.  Not sure.

I've been really into moving these days.  I've been taking 2 mat pilates classes every week and on the weekend trying to do a pilates reformer class.  This weekend I have both reformer as well as a one on one for an hour with a pilates trainer.  I feel like it really helps me heal after years of only walking.  I'm really getting in touch with how my body moves.  I have a groupon to a yoga studio and I think Friday night I'll take a Zumba class which is something new for me.  I've been trying to exercise 5-7 times a week, knowing that my walking will slow down in the rainy weather.

I just read a good article on long term weight maintenance over on the VSG Maintenance group.  It's worth taking a peek at.

My mantra is: strength and resistance training to help with building lean muscle mass, which will help to maintain our metabolism. It also helps to lessen bone loss. Walking isn't always enough, unless one is including hiking, going up and down hills, or going up and down stairs. I actually enjoy the weight training very much. It has helped me to develop more muscle mass, decrease my body fat, and has increased my strength. I may be little, but I am powerful. LOL1

I'Moving,m in Ky for our campoing/carriage driving trip.  Yesterday was crazy, had a flat on the trailer and ended up getting 4 new tires on it.  I didn't want to break down again.  Finally made it here and by the time I was set up and the pony was set up, the chili dinner was over.  I ended up having a protein drink and going to bed.

but today I have gotten my trailer all set and everything in place, driven Poppy, bathed her and just gpt back to have some lunch.  The weather is beautiful and warm after the cold last few days.

Moving, yes, I plan on doing a lot of it here this week.  Until my knee is done, I am so limited in what I can do.  I like the idea ofd a personal trainer but it will have to wait.

It was bucket scrubbin day here today. Normally do it on weekends but today was just so pretty out I was making excuses to be outside. Also had kids appointments to attend to. Trying to make sure everything is done before my surgery. Going to get extra bedding and feed by this weekend so I can be stocked up. I've notified the vet in case something happens while I am gone.

I have to go to school in the am to meet with the principal. Oh boy! I hope I get what I want.
