Quest protein bars real or hype?

Pure Protein Peanut Butter used to be my go to protein bar, but I switched to Quest when they came out.  I love the peanut butter and the chocolate flavor.  I keep cases of both.  I like that they have a saltiness to them, that they aren't coated in chocolate and they won't get gooey.  I took them to Spain and they traveled well in 105 degree temps.  Some people actually heat them up in the microwave for a cookie effect and really like it.  I love that they are chewy and take some time to eat rather than something that just slides down easily.

I had to email three times to get my sample bars when they first came out. Back then there were only two flavors.  The Vanilla Almond is too sweet for me.

Of all the supplements I've found, this is definitely the best.  That said, if you need quick protein, Pure Protein has a new jello with 20 grams of fiber/100 calories.   I use those for a quick fix when low on protein.  I've never gotten into drinking protein shakes because my program was against them and to this day, I only have a shake once in awhile.

Well everything sounds good except taking forever to get the free sample.  Does it take forever to get them if you PAY too or just the freebe?

I might give them a try after I try the pure protein.  I didn't know they had a jello is that in certain stores?  Like yourself I would rather get my protein from food once I can just cause its more filling and still maybe top off the night with a shake or after a workout, either or

I ordered yesterday and had an email this AM that they had been shipped.  So far so good.  I haven't tasted one yet thought

When I first ordered my 2 sample bars, the sample coupon was all over OH and the net.  I think they were overwhelmed.  I emailed again a week later and then again a month later.  I was just persistant!

When you order from them and pay, they come in a few days.  I also buy them on iherb.com or amazon or wherever the shipping is cheaper that week.  Just google them and look for your best option.

For me, I'm hungry as soon as I finish the Pure Protein bar.  They don't have lasting satisfaction for me.  The Quest bar keeps me feeling good for around 3 hours.

Hey Tony,

I ordered the box that includes 2 of each flavor so I could see which ones are good, last week when you posted this on the 3rd.  They came today, so it only took 5 days.  The link you posted in the OP has a code for free shipping, so thanks for that.
So far I tried the Apple pie flavor.  They put a thing in the box that said if you microwave them for 10-15 seconds that they are like a fresh baked cookie.  So I tried the bar before warming and then warmed it.  It does make it taste better.  I usually am not a fan of protein bars, but this was really good.  Haven't tried any of the other flavors yet.

Have you ordered them yet?   I like them all.  They are a little salty.  I don't mind but have heard others complain of the salty flavor.  I like that they are not covered in a coating so they don't melt in your pocket.

Let us know what you think.

Not yet, My nut does not want me eating any of those types of protein bars till im 6 weeks out of surgery so I still have just over 3 weeks to go.

I will try some of the pure protein bars when I get there, but I do like the fact that everyone is saying these are not coated and don't get soft cause we all know what we do with them once they get nasty.

So I will order some in a couple weeks.  I appreciate all the iinput!

Im not going to order free ones, I will just order them when im ready.  From what im seeing on the web it appears they are cheaper than pure protein bars too as GNC wanted almost $40 for a box of 12

Pure Protein comes in two sizes.  What GNC is quoting is the big bars.  Way too big for WLS peeps unless you're a competitive athlete in training.  They also come in a smaller size.  You can get them at Target for around $1 a bar.   Quest is definitely more expensive but I think a healthier alternative.

Stay away from bars as long as possible.  They hinder weight loss for many people. I use them more now that I'm in maintenance back off them when I'm trying to shed a few pounds.
