Got My date

Hi every one I got my Surgery date it is Oct 17, 2011.  I am very happy. I have to start a liquid diet on the 10the of October.  I am having my surgery at Emory Medical University in Atlanta GA my doctor is Dr Lin.  He is very nice and honest.  I am so ready for this day to come.  I wi**** was next week lol.  I just want to get started with my new life.  I know it is going to be hell for the next few months until my body heals itself. I do not expect it to be a walk in the park. 

Congratulations! With the right mind set you might find that although the surgery process is not a walk in the park its not too bad either..they have perfected these surgeries..and as long as you focus on protein and water early out you will be okay.

Only a week of liquid will be ok.  Expect the worse days to be 3-4 but you have such a strong light at the end of the tunnel, you will be fine.  congrat.  It will be here soon.

It is amazing how happy one is when we get our surgery date......like you I just wanted to get to the other side.  This is an amazing journey and I wish you the best of luck.....keep coming to this board.  You will learn a lot and it is very supportive.

Thanks everyone this is the best website out there.  I am getting all of my thing ready that I will need after the surgery. My doctor recommend Bariatric Advantage for my supplements but they are so expensive.  How do they taste. Are there any good protein drinks that taste like coffee.
