Good morning. It is beautiful in Texas.  Just cool enough to feel crisp in the morning but warm in the afternoon.  I LOVE this time of year.  Especially after the summer we had this year.

Today I have to go searching for frozen blackberries and asparagus. But other than that I need to spend the day revamping one of my staff development presentations for a different audience.  Then on to another week of non stop running.

Hi Roz,
We are having DGD's Christmas pictures made this afternoon.  I sure hope they both get a good nap and behave!!!

I've been making pizza with the high fiber low carb tortilla wraps and love them.  I got some great suggestions from my Potato Substitute message I posted last week and have tried quite a few today to have next week.  The Spinach Chips are delicious but I got them too salty.

B:  Protein Decaf coffee
S:  Decaf Coffee

L:  Ham, couple Spinach Chips, Rutabagas(thought about you Gina)
S:  Lemon Tea Protein Drink
D:  Chicken Pizza on High Fiber Low Carb Tortilla.

Water/Fluids:  105 ozs
Miles:  None today - except chasing DGD's!

I'm going to have to go back and check that post out.  I know you like to try new things but I'm kind of a rut person but anything that has the work chips in it gets my attention...LOL  Give me updates on what you really liked!!!

Christmas Pictures already?  How did you find Christmas outfits so early or are the out already?

Sounds Good!

I think they both ordered the dresses.  They wanted to get them early enough to use the pictures for Christmas cards.

I loved the spinach chips, just need to not put so much salt on them.

I made turnip roots & onions.  My mom used to cook potatoes & onions and fry them together - delicious.  I cubed the turnip roots and onions, put a little olive oil, salt & pepper and baked them on parchment paper in the oven on 350 for about 1 hour.  WOW - they almost tasted like potatoes and onions!!  DH like them too.

Rutabagas - I just boiled them in water and added a little salt.  I like to add a little I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Lite to mine.

Beets - Jasmeen suggested I try them.  I cubed them and put some onion and I used McCormicks Chicken Seasoning.  I put them in an Oven Roasting Bag and baked them for about an hour.  They are pretty good.

I think DH like all of the things I cooked which is really unusual.  Sometimes he won't even try different things I cook.

Now I need to put smaller portions in freezer bags and freeze them so they will be convenient to pop in the microwave to go with a meal.

I don't have a clue what turnip roots or rutabagas even look like....LOL  I guess I'll make a trip to the farmers market.

I love beets in a jar but I've never had "real" beets.

My DH would NEVER try any of these.  He has never even tried salad!!!
