Southern Lady,

Great job!  So excited for you!

Can you share how you picked your goal?

Here is why I ask....

I am in a similiar place as you, surgery date of Feb 10, but I have a sleeve.  I am at my goal weight that I picked out when I was 200 lbs.  I still have some fat around the middle and wondering if it will come off or if hormones, hereidity or other facts will keep it there.

In addition,  I am struggling with the idea that many bounce back with 10 lbs.  Maybe that is a sleeve thing, and you won't be troubled with it.

So it's basically the mind is playing games with me.

Would love to hear that you are at peace with your new found number.

Cricket, how I picked mine:
I knew I needed to be between 108 (a BMI of 18.5) to 143 (a BMI of 24.9) to be in normal range.

Knowing my body structure, I never believed I'd even make the 130's but I set 135 as my initial goal.

I still have a muffin (belly fat) but I am 57 and looking like I am 20/30 is not gonna happen. Plus, as I keep getting remided, the fat we have left will redistribute.

And while my goal is 135, I am aiming lower now because I want to be able to weigh NO more than 135 when I step on the doctor's scale, FULLY DRESSED!

If you keep your food choices healthy, keep getting in protein and stop worrying about your middle, it will work for you.

Liz

Just yesterday my daughter told me to stop talking about  .05 etc. and just focus on the BIG number.
Congratulations!
