Sigh.  Had a bad week.  I tried adding 1/2 and 1/2 to my shakes and pudding and found that I dump on too much fat.  Same with adding more nut butters.  And too much fruit and carbs.  Been eating 6 times a day.  And I keep plugging along.  My doctor's office called Friday and my daughter forgot to tell me until after they were closed so I will talk to them tomorrow and see what they say.

I am so sorry that you are having a difficult time. Can you tolerate full fat or 2% yogurt? It must be so frustrating for you. Can you tolerate complex carbs like sweet potato, quinoa, and other whole grains? Carbs, I know, but they are complex. I saw that you are eating oatmeal. Are you tolerating that?

I am fine with the oatmeal.  I had quinoa last night with dinner with no problem.  Potatoes are fine, too. My biggest problems seems to be with dairy for some reason.  I make a smoothie with non fat Greek yogurt and cottage cheese that got to me, as well as the one with Greek yogurt and fruit (a couple of strawberries, raspberries and a little banana) got me sick.  Also a shake I made with too much sugar alcohol did it too me, as well as the shake and pudding I made with 1/2 and 1/2.  I am fine with about a tablespoon of nut butter at a time but any more and I dump.  It seems to be the amounts of those things.  I can tolerate a small amount but if I pu**** I know it.
I went nearly a year and only dumped once or twice because I accidently used real sugar instead of sugar free but since I have been trying to up my carbs and fat I dump nearly every day.  It is very frustrating.

Are you lactose intolerant? Can you tolerate cheeses?

Sounds like small amounts of carbs and fats are the way to go, as well as frequent feedings.

I'm not lactose intolerant.  At least I never have been.  I do fine with regular milk and I eat a lot of cheese.  It just seems that too much doesn't agree with me.  I don't know if it's the fat or the carbs or a combination of both.
