Home from hospital...

My RNY surgery was done on Tuesday and I got home late yesterday.  We stopped a couple of times on our long drive home for me to walk.  Feels so good to sleep in my own bed and be able to lay on my side instead of just my back.  What a chore to drink, drink, drink.  I haven't taken any pain medication since this morning at 2am.  I so afraid of constipation I'm willing to deal with some pain.  Today seems likes it's just dragging.  Can't wait for Tuesday to come so I can have some yogurt or cottage cheese etc.  Just checking in to let you know I MADE IT!  Now comes the real work.

Woo hoo, another one hits the bench.  Welcome.  Sounds like you are doing great.  You will continue to feel better each day and yes, it is work but boy is it rewarding.

It is so nice to be home and be on the other side of surgery.   It will get easier and easier.....rest, drink and soon you will be having something in your new pouch of substance soon.
