I broke the 50lb barrier

So far so good, Got the sleeve on 9/16 and im losing 1lb every day? Is it normal to lose this fast?

Im drinking 6 glasses of water daily, Drinking 4 protein drinks 90 - 120 grams daily and walking 2 1/2 mph for 30 min daily with no sweating so I know its not dehydration.  Plus my cap fits on my bald head now loose LOL  What a gauge huh LOL

So how long can I expect that weight loss to last for a sleeve before it starts to slow down.

Calories per day with the protein drinks and light soy milk is about 800, Carbs are about 30 grams.  I also see the doc Wed for my next 2 week food plan

Oh and one last question.  My abs are still sore, not sore enough to prevent me from doing things but probably a 2 when getting up and down on the scale of 10 with 10 being worst.  How long does this soreness last?  Its healing and itching and looks good so I know theres no problems there.

Sounds like you're doing great, Tony.  The first month you will lose like gang busters and maybe even the second month. Expect it to slow down some after that.

Sounds like you are doing awesome. I hope to be as successful after my revision next week, those liquid intakes are awesome as well as the protein.

I don't know about the abs hurting, after my sleeve they hurt about a month, but I had to be reopend up 2 weeks after my original surgery.

Generally people lose .5-2 pound a day at first, especially while on liquids. Then, it slows down to 2-3 lb. a week. Then 1-2 pounds.

So, yeah, 1 pound a day is expected -- though I think it's above average for a lightweight.

You'll probably slow down a bit once you move to either soft foods or to regular food.

I didn't feel up to doing exercises that stressed my abs until 2 months out. Some people have weight lifting restrictions for the first 6 weeks. So I think that gives a range as to when to expect your abs to be totally normal.

I lost a # a day for a while but it doesn't last long, although guys lose faster than ladies.  Enjoy it while it is happening cause it will slow down.

I think it was 6 weeks before we were released for ab stuff.  My abs were sore for maybe 3-4 weeks.

Glad to hear that you are doing so well! My hubby lost about a pound a day for the first month, second month around 20, and third month around 15..then he stuck there for a while and gradually came to a near stall..but everyone is different..sounds like you are doing everything right, keep it up!

Tony - it sounds to me like you're doing great - especially being only a week out and only having 2 pain... it sounds like you're already rockin your sleeve.

It will slow down.  Expect a "stall' around week 3.  You will still be losing inches, but your weight may not move during that time.  Now, women do that, not so sure about men, but don't be surprised if it happens.

When are you going back to work?
