G tube out, get to add new foods.

So, so, so happy to have the G-tube out, it hurt and was freaky to get out, but now I can really mend, very tender belly again.  I get to add soft foods, so happy.

This whole process is such a mental exercise as well, it's crazy.  Last week eating yogurt, pudding, re-fried beans and eggs, I was thinking this may not work, I'm not satisfied with little amounts.  Now change that to canned chicken mixed with Greek yogurt and I'm satisfied with a small amount.  So maybe it will work, lol.  That same canned chicken would have felt crappy in my lapband pouch and I would have probably thrown up, now I feel good.

Now I need to quit lying in bed and night calculating what weight I'll be when and just let it happen and live life.  I'm so impatient.

Sounds like you are on your way.  Just take it slow and you will be ok.  Add new foods at home instead of when you are out so if they are going to not sit well, you are at least at home.

Dream away about your new size.  I am certainly smaller than I ever thought was going to be possible.

You're doing great, and the chicken with greek yogurt sounds wonderful.

I am so happy for you. I've had my  g-tube since my RNY in Aug.  It is so super annoying!!!! I'm glad that you get to add some different textures to your diet now. And I'm really glad that you're feeling better. You give me hope for better days in the future!!!! Thanks for sharing!                                  -Julie
