Is it safe to leave shakes unrefrigerated for 4 or so hours?  I am making them with water.  At my job we cannot put them in the ice box or use an ice pack. Any ideas?  Do they freeze well?
Thanks

Can you mix them up at work before you drink it?  Just put the powder in a cup with a lid and when it's time to have it add water.

I don't know how well they freeze but in your situation it might be worth a try. I have a drink cup that has an ice wand in it that might be ok, or perhaps a thermos bottle to keep it cold.

I have by mistake frozen a RTD and it was ok.  I freeze protein pudding all the time which is 1/2c of SF pudding and 1 scoop of protein.  but I eat it frozen, not thawed so not sure.

I have started mixing my Nectar Lemon tea with a spoon instead of a shake bottle and it actually mixes better with no foam.  I can drink it room temp, hot or cold.  I'm not sure I could do a chocolate or vanilla room temp.  I can do the fuzzy navel room temp or cold.

Like Price, I make up Nectar drinks all the time.  I take two bottles - one empty, add a little water and the mix, and shake like crazy.  When it's pretty well dissolved, I put it inti another bottle that's about 3/4 full, and shake and drink

I have frozen protein drinks for several years now.  But I have always wondered if it harmed the protein itself.  I know the ingredients, fruit and yogurt freeze well but just not sure of the prtein pwoerder itself.  Then I eat it frozen, once it starts to thaw it gets to a point that it becomes cold froth, and I don't like that.  You have to eat it just at that certain point its like ice cream, then its pretty Yummo.

It's pretty hard to harm protein. You can denature it but that's an asthetic thing. Like frying and egg and having the egg white turn from clear to white.

Here's a second vote for using a thermos. I used to do that all the time when I was early out and it took forever to finish a shake.

Thanks for the posts...
I  never thought of a thermos.  I like to make them two servings at a time. I like the way they taste and mix up better. I just starting doing half water and half milk. Thanks again.
