Well, My PCP (who was not the one I have beed seeing for my 3 month Dr. supervised visit, but is the main Dr. for the clinic) wasn't going to submit the paperwork to the sureon's office. I called every day this week to find out why and if she would reconsider. Today I got ahold of the technician who had been giving me the run around, and she said "The dr is actually working on it right now. Do you want us to fax it or do you want to come pick it up?" I said 'if you can fax it go ahead, but if not I will pick it up on Monday." she said "No problem, we will fax it." It wasn't until a few hours later I thought "what if she wrote something on there about not supporting the surgery? arrrrrggghhhhhh My surgeon's office staff is flaky and I don't know if they will be on top of the paperwork, so I figure I will either call them or go in on Tues. to see if they have everything and if they are submitting to the insurance company. I'm a lightweight. 5'5" 226lbs. Co morbs- back and knee pain, incontenence (which I have had one surgery to try to correct) depression, GERD, and asthma. (Which is allergy or exercise induced) So - we shall see. Didn't have any luck. PFT's were within normal limits, and my sleep study was unremarkable. My PCP said I might be waking up before my saturations go too low. (I wake up between 10-15 times a night) She talked about sending me for a sleep study. Anyway, wish me luck please. Throw some lizards, snakes, turtles - whatever reptiles you can get your hands on, and PRAYERS are much appreciated!
I'll be swinging lizards for you. Good idea to follow up on both ends if you can. Dr's offices are notoriously disorganized.

I might have hand delivered it just so I knew it was done. So do you know she didn't support surgery or suspect she didn't support surgery? I'm hoping you are just suspecting and the actual report was fine.
Wasn't sure if you had a sleep study and she was thinking about another one? I know when I had mine, I was waking 19x an hour to breath (all gone now after surgery). Do you have an actual diagnosis of sleep apnea? That is evidently a biggy with insurance.
One way or the other, I'm swinging for you. Let's hope you don't have to jump through more hoops.

Thank you so much ladies! :) I am going to call the surgeon's office tomorrow to check that the paper work was, in fact, faxed. Also to figure out if there was anything negative written on the paperwork. If there was I will be changing PCP's. I don't need a PCP to try to push their beliefs on me. Especially one who has never had a weight problem. I had a test to check my oxygen saturation at night. (just a little thing I slept with on my finger and then mailed back to the company.) The dr said it looked fine, but since I wake up so much at night I might be waking up before my saturations go too low. Thank you for the encouragement! I need all I can get!
