I'm so hungry

I can't wait to get to bed tonight just to forget the hunger.  I could even eat the dog food right now.  My stomach feels awful.  I've had a killer headache.  Could barely drive today.  Yesterday was fine on clear fluids, but it's killing me today.

I don't know how people managed for two weeks!  I assume something kicks in and you start feeling better.  My surgery is tomorrow, so I guess this feeling will pass.

Just had to vent.  I better go clean and pack my cpap etc.

Good luck, good luck, good luck!

The pre-surgery hunger was the worst!  You are on the home stretch though!!!!

I was starved on the pre-op diet, and I'd already been on a strict diet for 3 months before that.  Many people aren't hungry after surgery - but I still get hungry.

I know exactly what you are going through this is day two of the optifast liquid diet and I'm starving!  However, I've already droped 6 pounds in 24 hours.  HOoo ra..I have another 27 pounds to drop in 19 days for operation.

So, you are having the operation tomorrow   I'll be thinking about you.  Good luck and remember to breathe
How bad do you want it?

I have to check in at 9:30am.  Think the surgery is at 11 or 11:30.  I'm feeling better than I did.  The headache is gone and my stomach isn't so upset.  I'll get to bed in an hour or so.  Tomorrow is a whole new day.

Almost done. hang in there. drink all the broth you can hold tonite, one cup after the other. I would eat the whole bowl of jello on my pre op if that was what it took to keep from feeling hungry. i would drink 3-4 cups of broth one right behind the other, just runs right thru.

the headach is prob from carb/sugar withdrawal.

hope it will all be better in the am.

Hang in there. You are in the home stretch. Tomorrow you will not be hungry. You will be forcing yourself to drink the liquids that they will want you to drink. Headaches are the worst. Good Luck tomorrow. We will all be saving you a spot on the Loser's Bench

I made it through 4 weeks of optifst ok but the one day of clear liquids before surgery was horrible.  I just drank and drank and ate jello.  I hate jello.  Around 3pm was the worst then it really did get better.  Thank goodness it was only one day. I promise you won't be hungry tomorrow.
heres to a textbook surgery and a boring recovery.  Let us know how you are doing.
