New to LW
Welcome to the Lightweight Board. Hopefully you will find everyone on here friendly and informative. Everyone loses weight at a different rate. Just because we are lightweights doesn't mean that we lose weight slower. I am almost 7 months post op and I am 1 lb away from my personal goal. My surgeon did not set a goal for me, just wanted me to get healthier and off my meds.
Every surgeon is different on the diet plan post op. My surgeon required a liquid diet for 2 weeks. My liquid diet consisted of cottage cheese, yogurt, jello, pudding, those types of foods. Then I graduated to pureed foods for another 2 weeks before I was allowed soft foods. By the time I went back to work after 6 weeks off, I was eating pretty much anything.
I use myfitnesspal.com to track my food. The website has such a large database of foods. It tracks your protein, carbs, calories, etc. There are many of these websites, but this one is the easiest I found and I have the app on my phone, so I can track wherever I go.
There are several websites that have some great food recipes for post surgery. As you are on the board you will see the websites being talked about. If you are having RNY, make sure you check out the RNY forum as well.
Good Luck on your surgery. We will be waiting on the Loser's Bench for you.

lol for a week before my surgery date. They said it is because they want to shrink my liver. I hope I get a date that is soon
