Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

Spent the evening with my youngest DD in the ER.  She lost her last baby in March at 15.5 weeks and now she is 16 (1 day) weeks and bleeding with this one.  I'm learning that I use to stress eat but now I don't have much of an appetite when I'm stressed and then when things calm down I'm starved and have to make good choices no matter how warn out I am.  I think avoiding vending machines and McDonalds has helped me alot.

Oh Roz,  I pray everything works out for your daughter...  I will keep her in my thoughts.  Your poor DD must be so scared (again).  Sometimes life is so hard.  Glad you are avoiding the machines, put some extra protein bars in your purse.

I have 4 more days to my 20th hs reunion, and would like to lose 4 lbs...think I can do it??  I am going to cut way down on bad carbs, as I have been but even more strict this week, up my water and my protein is always high anyway.

Thanks so much for the Prayers!!   I know last night God was definitely in her hospital room!!!  After the first sight of blood panic she got considerably calmer.  Her little one is 3 and she didn't have any complications with him.  She had a very stressful week at work so I don't know if that factors in or not.

We just had our 40th reunion and it was so much fun!  We always have a good time (DH and I graduated together and dated through high school) but it was different going as a "thin" person.  I actually talked a lot more and didn't stand in DH's shadow.  So many didn't recognize me because I had been heavy the last 6 reunions. My name tag got looked at alot....lol.

Watching the carbs and increasing your protein sounds like a great plan!

during my pregnancy with my DD, I had blood spotting just once time. I can't remember how far along I was, maybe around 7-8 months, too early to have her though... I panicked and went to the hospital, they check her heatbeat and whatever else they do and sent me home. We were fine, I hope that turns out to be the case for your DD also. I hope this is just a bump in the road and that's all.

I was probably a size 14-16 in high school, so not obese, but not wearing a 8-10 that I am now either. I know I will be recognized, esp b/c of facebook etc, but can't wait to dance the night away without feeling embarrassed by my size or huffing and puffing that I would have been at size 20 I was 2 yrs ago!

I remember you posting about your reunion, I think I remember you saying someone thought your hubby was there with another woman!!! LOL too funny! My husband didn't graduate with me and about 8 of us girls are all going together w/o our hubby's. He is glad cuz he doesn't know many, and I am glad b/c I would be trying to keep him entertained rather than just having fun! So, it will be a blast! Can't wait. My only worry is I am wearing a shirt that is super clingy and I don't want to feel puffy around the waist...may need a spanx or something if I don't lose 3-4lbs by then!

Thanks Gina!  The Dr. told her not to stress and to stay in bed a few days.  Neither one is easy for her.  I just heard from her and she is going to her OB Dr. at 3:00.

Good Menu!  How much popcorn do you eat at a time?  The 100 calorie bags don't satisfy me and I have a hard time not eating the whole bag when it's bigger.  I do buy the 98% fat free and I don't conisder it a "bad" carb.

I hope she gets a good report back from her OB. Swinging lizards for her.

I eat the snack size bag and it does me fine. I can eat the larger bag but don't feel hunger if I don't. It's kind of a safe grazing food and gluten free, which is a good thing for me.

Thanks Linda!  Do you find it alot easier to get back on track now than it was before?  I do.  I think it's because when I slip up or have a bad day it isn't nearly as bad as it was before WLS.

Good Menu Linda!

It is easier to get back on track, but I am sooo struggling with carbs & sweets.  I do so good all day long and then at night I mess up..... but like you said it is still not anywhere near what I would have done before WLS.
