Celebrated by 59th Birthday with a 4.2 mile Run
Last week Friday was my birthday. I have been using the Couch potatoe to 5K this summer to try to get up to running 3 miles. Had made it to 3.9 miles. Decided my birthday was a good time to break that 4 mile mark--and I did. It took me right at an hour, so a little less than a 15 minute mile. Don't know if I can get any faster........................
My goal is eventually to run 5 miles. Now that I made the 4.2, I'll do my distance runs on Saturday and run 3.5-4.2 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Per my younger co-workers, I am an inspiration. They figure if I can do it, AT MY AGE, they can too. Who would have thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!! Happy Belated Birthday Lin!! We really are as young as we feel, huh!!!
What an awesome time for a mile, 15 minutes. That's terrific! I'm just barely starting to do a shuffling jog around the parking lot when I send my DH into the store. Thanks for the example you're setting! I turned 57 a couple of months ago so I'm going to be able to do 4 miles by the time I turn 59!!! LOL
