Something bothering me

When I am with my grandchildren without their mother I am told I have beautiful children. People are shocked they are my grandchildren. I think they think I was teenage mother when I had a child and then my daughter was a teenager to have hers then.
I was 21 with my first, she was 21 with her first. Young to today's standards.
One of my granddaughter's playmates mom is 43 I hate the thought of telling her I am 48, I think it would blow her mind.

No one can tell anyone's age anymore. Enjoy being told you look young, when you are my age you'll appreciate it lots.

Learn to embrace the fact that you look younger.  I recently had someone tell me I looked 10 years younger since I've lost the 40 lbs.  After kidding her (she's my age), I took it as an NSV.  My mother still gets that, and she's 87.....everyone thinks she's in her late 70's and she loves it!

I get told that I look younger than I am, but they're lying.

I think when they ask you how old you are, just tell them it's none of their business, or say "older and wiser than you".

I am 59 years young.  I am only 4'10" tall.  I was always told I looked like a kid and resented it as I wanted the respect that comes with age but now at my age I am so happy to have someone say I look younger than I am;  and wish I could have enjoyed it more before.   I say enjoy it while you can and hope you always look young.   Demand respect by showing you are more mature.   Most young people, now a days, do not know the meaning of the word and they seem to treat everyone the same no matter what age a person is.
You are in a place where you work with not only the staff (of inmature kids) but the general public and you have to show people you are strong and deserve to be respected.  I can tell you it is the same in any place you work when you work with other human beings.  People in general are pretty much more concerned with their own issues and are always worried someone else with come along and take something from them.   Don't let these things stop you from doing your best and enjoying your self and your accomplishments.
