Good Morning. The vampire wants more!

Got a call late yesterday that she missed a vial. Now she wants me to come back this morning for one more. That will make this draw 19 vials! I just hope my insurance company doesn't balk.

How about a vitamin call-to-order this morning?  How are you doing on your vitamins and labs?

Was this another fasting draw?

I'm going to do my next labs in late November/early December.

Vitamins: doing pretty good but sometimes miss my bedtime dose because of stomach issues. I'm trying to adjust the times so I take my last dose around dinner..

She said I didn't have to fast, so I'm taking vitamins and drinking protein coffees this morning.

Thank goodness! I think fasting is pure torture...... I always take a shake with me and hit Starbucks.

At least when I went back for more viles, it didn't have to be fasting.

I have gotten my folic acid and A and have added those to my daily reguime.  Upped my protein drinks to 1.5scoops in the morning and evening and have now been staying around 145 a day.  Doing good.

Do you do your labs more than once a year?  My surgeon just does them annually.  My PCP does some during the year, but not the entire set.  Some she will not add for some reason...

I just had to order some more vitamins, hope they come in before I run out.  I usually don't have much trouble getting them in as long as I'm on my daily schedule.  Seems like I missed my last dose of calcium yesterday - since they were sitting on my desk when I got to work this morning!!

I would be in big trouble if I only had my labs done once per year. I am almost 3 years out and still need them done every 3 months. I get them done most of the time by my Endocrinologist but if I am  at my surgeons for a follow up appt, she will run them also.  I am really good with my vitamins and supplements but my labs still go up and down and need constant adjusting.

I think I'm doing ok with vits and labs.  I like to get mine every 6 months, but won't be getting K done again.  Insurance won't pay for it and I can't get the Dr's office to call me back to discuss them calling the insurance company and give them justification.  $110 isn't my idea of a cheap lab...

Now - I did go to a new Internist, but he's not on board with getting all the labs drawn I previously have been, and the primary reason I went to him was to get MORE done...  so he's fired.

I need to do labs soon. I have to stop vitamins for 3 days before so I'm going to have them done on Monday and not take supplements starting tomorrow.

Mine are due again in Jan except for the few I have to have every three months and I can't get my pcp to take over til after my one year. Then I will have some done every three months and all done twice a year.

We got our order about 2 weeks ago so we are all good for now.
