Awesome PCP visit
Charles & I saw our pcp today. We thought it was just dh but once there discovered I had one too...their notification service was in between contracts so I didn't get reminded.
I was suppose to have several blood tests but since I was not fasting, they only pulled a couple. Not enough to report except my A1C today is 6, absolutely NORMAL. Back in Oct 2010, it was 8.5, and three months after surgery it was a 6.4...today a SIX!!!
But the best parts were his being so pleased with our progress and said we ought to be "poster children" for the benefits of WLS..
The other best part was, in asking if he would handle all my bloodwork after my year is over with my surgeon, he said sure and told us to just let his nurse know which tests and he would write the lab slip! So I guess we need to dig out the vitalady list, LOL

That is all way good. Glad he will handle the labwork. My PCP is very good about getting what I think I need also.

Liz, Congratulations on a normal HgA1C!!! What a relief for someone who had struggled for so many years with diabetes. It is all the NSVs like this, that I consider WLS such a gift. I am grateful everyday for WLS. It has certainly given me my life back, and by the sound of yours, you are getting your life back. Way to go!!!!
