Walked in on a burgler!!!
We live in a very safe little 'burb for the past 11 years with no issues. This morning I woke up early and went down to fold laundry~our laundry room is next to the garage. As I was folding laundry I heard the door from our garage to the back yard squeak. I thought my daughter left it open last night and it was blowing in the wind. I opened the door from the house to the garage and was quite shocked to see a man standing there!!! (yes, I was only wearing a t-shirt and underwear!!)
He tried to tell me that he was looking for his cat and I told him that he should then be knocking on my front door. Then I saw a guy behind him run out of our backyard shed and I started yelling for my husband and they took off running. I ran to the front door and out on the porch trying to get their license plate number as they were screeching tires and driving off!!
Heart was beating a mile a minute!! I think I scared them off before they got much...only missing a few screw guns out of the shed.
So by 6:30am the police were over (yes, I went and put pants on). I thanked the Lord because ususally I am not awake and folding laundry at 6am on a vacation day morning~I know in my heart He had me up for a reason!!

Wow - how scary!! Unfortunately that also erodes future feeling of security in our homes.
