Too easy to be true? Band-to-RNY revision.

I'm almost 3 weeks out from band removal and revision to RNY.  I feel completely well.  My incisions have healed nicely.  Right from the day home from the hospital I could eat and drink with no problems at all. I have followed my surgeon's and NUT's plan to the letter.  It feels odd that I feel like I can eat and drink anything and everything.  Everything smells good.  Everything (so far) tastes good.  Not thrilled with the protein shakes but they don't make me gag.  Is this too good to be true?

I've been getting about 70-90 g protein each day.  The only carbs I've had come from fruits, veggies, and milk.  I lost a quick 10 lbs the week after surgery, but only 2 in the past 7 days.  My first stall .  However, I am going to be patient and keep eating the way my NUT prescribes.

Just want to tell the pre-ops out there that I've had a super fast recovery and am so very glad I had the surgery!  Good riddance to that dang band!  And I know that if I stick to plan, the weight will come off eventually.

Thanks everyone!

Yep, follow the plan and it will work.  There certainly are those of us who have no complications.  I haven't had a problem with any foods or liquids.  Yeah, I do better with warm than cold but have never had nausea or thrown up.  My only foamies have been when I was in a hurry and ate too fast, too big a bite, didn't chew enough. And 2 lbs in a week isn't a stall.  As close as you are to goal, that may be what you lose for a while.  then one, then one every so often.  But as long as it is going in the right direction, we are happy.

You're doing fantastic!  I can't believe that you're already getting in 70-90g protein and enjoying fruits, veggies and milk.
Enjoy the ride!

Congratulations on your great recovery.  I think there are quite a few of us who had no complications.  I was back at work in less than 2 weeks.
Keep up the great work and work your program.
