Pissed at myself

 Hi Everyone...
I know it has been a very long time since I have been on but I need some support and advise.  I am very pissed off at myself as I have gotten lazy about my supplementation and am now anemic, low protein, & low calcium...

These labs were for a screening so they do not contain Ferritin, Vitamin D, or B12.
We recently moved so I am going to have to go to a new PCP.  Can somebody chime in here as to what I need to do?  I am actually scared and want to kick my own butt.

Labs are below!

Thanks!  Pam

Here is a link to Vitalady's recommended labs and targets.

I would get those done as soon as possible so you know where you stand with everything.
You can start now by increasing your protein.  Are you drinking shakes?  If not run to the nearest GNC and find some whey isolate and start getting in at least 100 grams of protein a day.
You are most likely going to need vitamin D.  Vitalady had D50, which are 50,000 iu of dry D, which is what we need.
I also take Tender Iron from Vitalady.
Also buy some B12 sublinguals.  I use the 2500.  You may need shots but at least start with the sublinguals.
If you aren't taking your multivitamins start taking 2 a day right now and buy some calcium citrate and start taking that right away, too.  For calcium I use Vitalady's Cal Mag D3.  They are 500mg a pill so I don't have to take 2 at a time like with Citrical, but if that is all you can get then get it.
You will have a better picture of what you need after you get your labs done.
Gina (Major Mom) should be around soon to give you some better advice.  I am just speaking from my own experience.
Don't beat yourself up.  That does not good.  Hopefully you can turn things around pretty quick and just learn (as I had to) not to let it slide again.

Thanks...sadly I have Tender Iron, B12, and Calcium Citrate w D (cholecalciferol), Calcium chews from Bariatric Advantage, Vitamin C, Isopure and another protein sitting in my cupboard.

I got this info last night and am back on the program today.  Just worried that it is going to be hard to repair.  My neice is anemic and has had blood transfusions etc. and I am just scared.

And I know Bekah has a hard time getting her levels up too.

All you can do is get back on the wagon.  thanks for posting, maybe you will help someone else stay on track.
You can do it, I know.

Hi Pam,
Here's a link to Vitalady's RNY plan www.gblcreations.com/Resources/Gina/ProgramPRNY2-2010.pdf I would use this to get back on track and also order some Proferrin ES and take it in addition to the Tender iron. I take the Tender iron in the afternoon and the Proferrin at night. Bekah was taking Proferrin too but I don't know how her latest labs have come out. Mine are really good using the combo approach. The Proferrin pumped my hemoglobin and hematocrit right up. If you've dropped too far you might have to look into an infusion and then maintain with Proferrin after.

Definitely get back on the protein shakes. You don't want to become protein deficient.

Get those labs checked that Tazz suggested and keep us posted.

The quickest way toget your Iron up without Infusion is to eat a small amount, 1-2ounces of liver  2 times a day. I make mine into a patty, just like a salmon patty but use turkey or chicken liver...then I freeze them cooked and pull out of freezer as I require them...there is also sublingual B complex. it works well and gives the energy boost... there are as many recommendations for the other suppliments as there are people,...find something you can easily get in and stick with it. You need those suppliments for your bones while you are building bone...
