Has anyone had a Revision from VSG to RNY?

Just wondering if any lightweights here had a revision from VSG to RNY? I have major acid reflex with a hiatal hernia.

Ok, I had the Lap Band first in 2008, it did not work for me. I lost 17 lbs and then gained back 14 lbs.
I had my VSG in 2009, with the removal of the LB. I had lost 30 lbs with the VSG and gained 15 lbs back. I weigh 185 lbs right now. I realized that I had to see a Therapist for some emotional issues. I'm still seeing her and it's working rather well. My new wls doctor recommended me to get a RNY that it would help out with the reflux and with the weight loss.

Just want to see how is it going with some of you that had this same situation or something close?

Did your insurance pay for your revision to RNY?  Do you have reflux problems and how is the weight loss?

I have already posted this on the Revision Board. Just thought I would check this board too.

This is a very interesting post for me. When I initially met with the surgeon, I had a small hiatial hernia and reflux that couldn't be controlled, even with medication, elevating the bed, eating right, and losing some weight. My bariatric surgeon recommended that I have RNY instead of VSG because of all my digestive issues. I had RNY, and had the small hiatial hernia fixed, and it has really helped the reflux and related issues. Even the cough that I had for about 8 years is gone!

I hope that RNY works the same for you.
