OK....got the surgery behind me.  Man, was that fun!  I sincerely feel like I've been hit by a truck.  I hate pain meds...make me feel awful including headhache....I'm going to try to mend with ground up tylenol...a little pain has to be better than this groggy dopey feeling.  I CAN NOT imagine anybody taking OxyCodone for recreational purposes..this stuff is toxic!

Other than that doing well. I won't get on the scales again until my one week mark...apparently all the gas they inflate you with and the IV fluids cause us to GAIN weight?  I didn't get on the scales today..was scared to after Iooked last night and there was a 10 lb GAIN registering!

Anywho...I just wanted to check in and say another lightweight was on the otherside...feeling like she's been run over..but on the other side.

Yep, i remeber that feeling.  The good thing is that it doesn't last forever and although the first few days aren't fun, after that, it seems to improve almost daily.

Walk, sip, rest, repeat.

I'm glad you're on the other side of the surgery.

Shame on me, but I enjoyed the groggy dopey feeling, of course I'm a child of the 60's so it brought back memories.  Just kidding.

Stay of the scale for a few weeks and you will be flabbergasted.

You take care.

Welcome home!  Stay ahead of the pain and maybe call your surgeons office to get something else for it in liquid form.

Welcome to the Loser's Bench.  We've all made room for you.

You'll feel better soon.  It took a couple of weeks for all that fog to go away for me, so get lots of rest.

Glad you're on your way.  I hate pain meds too, but I had to keep taking them for a little over a week when I came home particularly when I needed to sleep.  The tylenol just didn't cut it.

It'll be fun when you do finally get on the scale.  It's crazy how fast the weight loss goes at first.

THANKS to everyone who posted.  I do feel a smidge better....I don't hurt if I'm not moving.  I am doing laps on my treadmill...trying to take in enough fluids and taking my vitamins now..YUCK do they taste nasty.

I appreciate all the great advice.  I look forward to this journey.
