Good Morning. When you were doing your research, did you hear the angels sing?
No, a grazer is someone who eats a little bit and the a very short time later is eating a little bit more. So, instead of having breakfast and lunch between 9 am and 2pm, a grazer might have a cup of coffee with cream, then half an hour later have a biscotti, then an hour later have a handful of nuts, then an hour later another handful, then an hour later eat some string cheese, then a half hour later some crackers.... and so forth all day.
The danger of grazing is that you eat more calories than the two meals you just grazed through because each little bit isn't bad and you don't actually add them up.
For example, if you eat a 300 calorie breakfast and a 300 calorie lunch that's 600 calories. If you eat 100 calories at a time every hour from 9 am to 2pm, that's also 600 calories. So it evens out. BUT if you eat 200 calories every hour, in the same time as the person who eats real meals eats 600, you've eatten 1200!

Exactly as MacMadame described. I was getting 70% of my calories from snacks and grazing pre-op.
