Anybody have a problem with LOW blood pressure?
I have felt like crap for the last 4 days just want to sleep. Feeling a little nausiated and no energy! I finally stopped by the drugstore today and took my blood pressure, It was 90/50 pulse was 74. At times I feel like my heart is racing. I spoke with a friend that is a nurse. She said low blood pressure can make you feel as bad as high. She said sometimes you can also be dehydrated and it can mess with your BP too. She thinks I should go get some IV fluids but I dont want to go to the hospital. I think I am going to try some low calorie gatoraide and fluids.
I have low blood pressure, too. It has been very low, like 85/55. The doctor says there is nothing that can be done about it. The only thing I notice is I get dizzy spells at times. Been having several this week. It had been a while since I had them.
Not sure what to tell you. I was adviced to eat more salt. That makes sense because I am not a big salt user.

Low blood pressure (hypotension) - MayoClinic.com
This is a great site with information on low blood pressure. Talks about causes, symptoms, tests and treatments. Many times you need to go to a proper specialist to get the necessary tests and treatments. One of the tests they list is a tilt table test which many PCP's have never heard of but is a standard test for diagnosing orthostatic hypotension. It also talks about the medication I told you about yestarday - flioronef to treat it.

I have low blood pressure most of the time and the lowest I had lately was 78/46 and I'm constantly dehydrated. I've been in and out of hospital so many times and nothing they can do about it. I tend to generally sit around 88-90/50 and manage to get by. Every time I'm in hospital the nurses all freak out about it but I'm just built this way. I often wonder is it hereditary as my mother, sister, niece and my daughter all suffer the same low blood pressure.
Cheers from Karin (in Oz)
Mine is too...I have posteral hypotension...and had it LONG before I had WLS...so I know that didn't cause mine.
