Menus and Miles Monday Aug. 29th

Hi Roz!  Well, I'm back.  My vitamins were so-so while on travel last week and my protein drinks were non-existent.  My intent was to buy a bag of protein at GNC while there, and I didn't.  I didn't even drink the little I took with me.  This is the first time in almost 3 years I've missed so many consecutive days.  But, one thing I'll say - is my BM's were consistent and loose.  I know my protein tends to bind me up sometimes.  My weight was stable too, which I'm thankful for.  Not really losing, but down 3 lbs from my heaviest and staying there. I didn't eat terrible while there, just on Saturday... but I'm back on track today.  It did make me think about the future and what may happen to me if I'm not able to be in control of my protein and vitamins...

B - 2 protein coffees and some regular coffee
L - edamame
s - spoonful of peanut butter
D - stir fry w/o rice

Vits: just calcium today.  bad me...
Water:  Just made a big pot of decaf ice tea - yummm!

HW-218/SW-208/CW-126/ Lowest Weight-121/Goal-125 - hit 8/23/09/Height-5'3"

Regain 30 lbs from 2012 to 2016 - got back on track and lost it.  Took 8 months. 
90+/- pounds lost      
BMI - 24 or so
Starting BMI between 35 and 40ish?

I'm glad to hear that you are home safe and sound.  How did the trainings go?

It's really hard to stay on track when you aren't home.  I'm getting better at it but it does take a lot of planning and discipline (which is the killr for me).

Mom's did great!  The egg salad was great too!  I ate it in the waiting room.  I used it as dip for my saltines....lol.  It's funny how boiled eggs don't bother my pouch at all.

Good Menu!  Is the chocolate cake made with the flax seed or do you have another recipe?  The flax seed burnt my mouth and made it sore.

Roz, It is made with 2tbls of flour, not the flax seed.  I have the recipe at home.  It has 110 calories, I probably shouldn't have it much.....

I'd love to have the recipe.  Just every once in a while I need something sweet but I can't have a whole cake in the house.

 leftover  fish crusts  ( yeah that was weird - theres not much in the house ) 


lunch -   finally found some frozen  eye round stew with okra and potatoes   YUM !! 

going for a long walk along the Brighton Beach boardwalk with the cat  in a bag ... right now he's  bouncing his furry self by the door  ...he's  Such a Funny  pet  .. I keep telling him  Cats  are Not supposed to be  Bag- Pets  and Leash - Pets  and Car- Pets  and he says  SO  ?!!  

keep telling me that  Ill learn to  lift my LEG !    

I ate some fresh European  bread crusts  down in Brighton Beach  andrealized -  I havent  sinned with BREAD  since i  first atericeand beans ...  HMMM   .  Thats pretty INTERESTING actually  .    I  didnt have my rice and bean breakfast  this am  because I  wanted to wearsomething skin- tight   and didnt want the tummy- pooch orthe bloat from the salt lol .  ( wore  short-shorts and a tank top  so yeah that part  worked  ) 

also snacked on  fresh cold cherries  during our multiple -hour excursion 

made  chicken  kiev  sliders when  we  got home  ( ground chicken breast , ground smoked lean ham ,  fatfree  organic  cheddar cheese  and sage   and butter buds  - yum 

also   large baby romaine  salads  from the garden w  fresh basil and  heirloom tomatoes   with homemade dressingmade out of  0%   fage .... 

cut up a pumpkin and baked it and the seeds      LOTS  of leftovers for tomorrow  !

It sounds like you had a fun day! Just the word boardwalk makes me jealous...LOL

I laughed when you said YUM to okra and potatoes.  When I make my DH vegetable soup he likes it when I remove all of the okra from the vegetables. 

Do you put anything on the baked pumpkin?  I love the seeds.  I'll have to remember to bake them when the DGchildren do their Jack-O-laterns.
