WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!!

My Mom is getting her 2nd cataract removed today so I'll be in and out.

Hi Everyone!  Well we made it through Irene yesterday with only small branches and leaves down in our yard.  We never lost power (thank goodness), but a lot of people at work today are still w/o power at home!   fyi - getting back on track, I ate horribly this weekend!

I'm glad you survived Irene!  I've been watching the news on the flooding in Vermont and it looks so terrible.

Good luck Chris!!  I know going back for your PhD is a dream come true - and a lot of hard work.  You can do it though!

Mom's gotten both eyes done now and being able to see seems to have changed her mental state too!  She actually went to our youngest DGD dedication last week which was a surprise to all of us.
