It ended up being a wonderful day...

Liz and I went out and tempted fate again today by going on a short bike ride.  We only rode a little over 2 miles today.  As I was pedaling my bike and changed it to 7th gear, the bike started "free-wheeling" (I was pedaling and not going anywhere.).

I attempted to cross the street at the traffic light.  Next thing I know, I am picking myself off the pavement.  Ended up with a slightly scraped knee, a busted front reflector, and the handlebar is out of alignment.  This made the ride back real fun.

Loaded up my bike in the car and went back to where I purchased it.  I explained what was going on and I am getting a new replacement bike in 7 - 10 business days.

Liz and I then went to Firehouse Subs and split a medium sub for lunch.  Mucho yummo!

Got back home and was greeted by our orders from Keurig.com and our "dealer of choice" Vitalady!!!

Love it when Christmas comes early!!

You two need to be riding in a padded room for a while.  Geeze, glad something good happened.

Price, his damage was much less extensive than mine...a scrapped kneww and two places on one hand near his knuckles.

We cleaned up his knee and put some neosporin on it, the places on his hand got the same but added a bandaid to each finger for today.

I am still sporting two bandages almost a week later. My elbow and my leg.

A padded room seems a good idea.

Maybe I should be thinking twice before asking DH to get my old bike out of retirement....LOL

It would be so nice to have someone to share a hoagie with!  I think it's so great that the two of you are experiencing this together!
