Had a good day!!!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful support and lizards swung for me!      Today was a good day! I tolerated all of the full liquids I tried today so I decided to try something from the next step of my food progression!! Yummy!! I had some cottage cheese(small curd) with some SF blueberry preserves!!!    I could only eat about a tablespoon before I was STUFFED, but it went down fine and the pouch was happy!!!  And I actually got 46 grams of protein in orally today!! I didn't have to infuse anything except meds today!!! I am so excited to finally feel better!!! I am beginning to see a future healthier me!!

I got to play with my furry babies for the first time since surgery, too!    All I've been able to do until today was scratches behind some ears from over the baby gate that keeps them all from the stairs. I didn't realize how much I missed them until today!.We were worried that they would get too excited and jump on me. I was afraid they would accidentally pull out the g-tube in their excitement. They were glad to see mommy , but it was like they knew I was sick and they behaved so calmly. I was impressed!

I feel like I'm getting my life back!!! I know that tomorrow (or many tomorrows) I might have some setbacks. But now I know that healthier more active days are coming!!!

Now, if I could just get rid of this darn G-tube pain and get some sleep, I would do a happy dance!!!

Oh hurray.  It's wonderful to get a UP report from you.  Being sick sucks and I'm so glad you are doing better.

I agree about the furry babies.  Mine are all little (dogs) but I feel better when I can have them around me.And walking to the barn to see the ponies and donkeys does tons to brighten my day, even if I can't do anything with them.

Sleeping was an issue with me and I didn't have a gtube.  I spent more than a few nights in the recliner, then parts of nights in the recliner.  It does get better.  I used tons of pillows to support me everywhere and that helped.  I still sleep with 2 small pillows for my legs because of my knee.

Rest, walk, sip, repeat and you will keep on the right path.

I am so glad to hear things are going better. It wont be long before the tube is out and that is healing too. i know it is a pain but so well worth it in the end. Keep up the great work!

YAY!!! So glad to hear you're doing better.  My fur babies actually helped me feel better faster, at least I think so.  They were careful not to step on mommy's tummy and my oldest baby Jack actually spent most of his time laying near my legs for that first week.  It doesn't take much to make the pouch happy! I haven't thought about using SF preserves on cottage cheese...that's a great idea!  This past week was the first week since the soft food stage that I've been able to eat anything so I'm happy!  Hoping it won't be long before the G-tube removal happens.  Still swinging those critters for ya!!
