Good Morning. Am I pushing "group-think"

Sometimes I worry that I'm pushing people to think and do things exactly as I do. I don't want to close down new things or new ways of thinking about things on this WLS journey. I don't want to perpetuate the old way of doing things (20 year old advice from stagnant WLS practices) but I don't want you guys to be afraid of suggesting something new and innovative, or informing us about something new that's on the horizon.

Be strong against those of us that may be too set in our ways. Make us think!

Very true...and I don't think YOU are pushing people. I will say that there are a number of vets that do push their way of thinking on other boards. Heere we are allowed to be ourselves.

Gina you are such a pusher.......of self awareness....& that is a good thing!! You are a great example and mentor to many. I agree that here on this forum we all encourage eachother to think freely, without judgement.....and it's evident in our interactions with eachother....so don't fret my LW sister!

I am definitely guilty of being set in my ways....LOL!!! I'm just so excited to be thin and healthy that I want everyone to be successful!!

You are right though, Gina, and I love to read about others journeys and how they are getting to goal but even though I'm to darn scared to change my ways I wouldn't want to discourage anyone else from doing what's best for them!

I think that you are open to other ways of thinking, and do not push one idea over another. I also appreciate your "Thought for the Day" , which often causes me to pause and think.

thought provoking, but not group thought. And good information.

Because we are mostly "at arms lenght" from each other, we can believe and do as we wish, but the information is very helpful.
