One Year Surgiversary

Well its officially been one year since my surgery!!! Overall it has been a good experience, I have lost 111 pounds thus far..going from a tight 22/24 to a comfortable 4 a size 2x shirt to a medium/large shirt..and not to mention being able to walk 4 miles on vacation the otherday easily! For the newbies out there it was pretty tough for me at first, I HATED "all" the protein drinks and refused to drink anything but one isopure a day..which meant for the first 3-4 months I wasn't getting anywhere near the amount of protein I needed. I came on here and listened to the advice of people who were doing well and who had more energery than I had and I upped my protein and "forced" myself to drink protein..ended up finding some protein that I actually love and haven't looked back. My weight started dropping off much quicker and I found it a lost easier to stick to my "plan" by eating protein first which I admitt I did struggle with at first. I also started weighing myself every week which helped me keep in line..now its easy to do all of that and I plan on keeping it up to further my weight loss/maintaince whichever comes first. I truly thank the leaders of this board, without you I really don't think I would be where I am today!!!

You have done wonderfully.  Actually, we had quite a crop about this time last year.  Stacey and I are coming up on a year soon and Maria is just over a year.  And we have all done great.  What a wonderful board this is that has helped us through.
