OMG! I made it!!!
woohoo!!! i'm so happy for you!! you should be so proud of yourself!!! i've been maintaining for several months now and it's just trial and error. i've read on this forum that your body will stop losing when you get to where you need to be! i weigh every day of my life......as maintaining is something i've never been able to do......
At almost 3 years out I still take my Prilosec. My pouch seems to rumble and I get a hunger feeling when I miss a few days. I just had a scope down to see if I have ulcers and he said everything looked perfect so I figured why shake the boat.

Thank you for your post. I do that Omeprazole 2 times per day and porbiotics once per day and will forever, but Im okay with that. It is definitly worth the trade off. I feel great and it is so hard to believe that last year I had been tuened down twice already for surgery by insurance due to not having 5 years of records! My doctors stayed on them and whamo! It happened! Approved! I have never looked back. My advice for anyone would be dont give up. If you quit trying they will be thinking they are saving money by not paying for the sugery, but in the end they will spend more treating your comorbitities. Keep on losing folks and thanks to all who answered me!
YEAH!!!!! You have done a great job!!!
If you can stay away from the carbs then maintaining should be a breeze for you!!! That's where everyone gets themselves in trouble because they add them in to early and think because they are still losing that they can handle it but that is a false misconception.
My second biggest regret is increasing calories because I thought I was getting to low. Unless there is a medical reason and you are still within your normal BMI just go with what you are doing. After the honeymoon period you will naturally put on a few pounds because you start absorbing more of the calories you are taking in so go as low as you can!

Thanks Roz! Your help and advice is greatly appreciated. I alway tell a little white lie and tell folks Im done losing when they ask just so I dont have to listen to them comment on how thin I have become. Funny because those same folks are the naysayers who say I didnt "need" the surgery in the first place. Then when they saw me for the first time this year at school they were amazed at how much better I look.
I wish they would make up their mind lol. I have begun eating a bit of cashews in the evening. I LOVE THEM NOW!!! I have to stop that.
