One thing you can do is choose to be happy.  It isn't always easy, but happy is better than worried, cranky, sad, concerned,  ____________ (fill in the blank).

I am blessed to live in a country that values freedom.  We have electricity 24/7.  We have porcelain fixtures in our indoor bathrooms.

I have an amazing family and, thanks to my WLS, improved health.

Count your blessings!  Give yourself something to swim for!

Happy Monday!

And I had a great dinner last night, mostly from my garden, with wonderful company.  I leave on Wed to spend a week with my DD.  She barely turns on the TV so I won't be listening to all the negative.  And it is suppose to cool down a little around here.

So get busy, enjoy the last month of summer and all the wonderful food from the gardens.  Winter will be here soon enough.

NOT watch the news!!! The week we were on vacation, we spent almost the entire week NEWS free and it was great. We didn't turn the TV on at all...what news we saw were the headlines on our home pages and the weather.

We still have much to be thankful for in this country even when the people in charge act like children.

Yes! I never watch the news. I get all the news I need from other sources and then I hunt more info down if I want it. But the evening news is just junk food for your brain IMO.

Good morning Gina!  Back to work today, the long commute from the bedroom to the living room was exhausting

Put my notebook I make notes in away in a safe place before we headed to the lake this weekend, now I can't find it.  Too safe of a place obviously, so I keep looking... sometimes I worry myself.

Yes, there is a lot of bad news out there.  I hate to be an ostrich and stick my head in the sand, but sometimes enough is enough, especially if there isn't any happy news to listen to.  It is a good practice to daily think and remember what we are so lucky and should be grateful to have in our lives.

Pray for all those suffering terrible losses at this time, and horrible situations.

Meditate and send our positive energy forward.

Let our  lights shine to the rest of world, to show there is kindness and love abound.

Gratitude, nothing like counting blessings, no matter how small.
