Good Morning. TGIF and all that

Another week come and gone. It was a pretty busy one for me and Roz definitely had a week she should not want to repeat. How was your week? Did you look over the top of the rut you're in and take a look around? Did you get jerked up out of your rut and forced to take a look around? How did your week go?
******
I guess I was jerked up out of my rut a couple of times but nothing much to report. I tend to keep my nose to the ground and trudge on through the week. We did make some progress on our work processes and that's good. We still don't know if our contract will continue, which is not so good. {sigh}

Something has me thinking more about this year's surgiversary. Four years out is kind of a milestone. Some folks have already started to regain and some have gotten quite sick due to vitamin or protein deficiencies or autoimmune issues. I'm not sure if there's a connection with our malabsorption and autoimmune issues...kind of a mystery but seems to hit our community a lot. I'm ever so thankful that I chose to follow Vitalady and not depend on my surgeon's practice...I'd be in a world of hurt. I see folks having to get iron infusions even before they're 4 years out and I think, "there but for the grace of God go I".

My week was pretty normal too.  2 hr meetings and heat.  Nothing much fun with the ponies.  It's suppose to cool down a little this weekend, to the upper 80s instead of the lower 90s and I will welcome that.  Got to do something with the tomatoes coming in and brought figs home from a friends yesterday that need to be put up.

I'm near sugiversary too.  Next month.  I feel like I have done great but lately just bounce around, more up than down.  Surely this isn't "bounce back" weight when I'm not even a year out yet? Could be that I haven't been exercising with my knee, I guess.  I will get my labs done mid month and am hoping I have been able to get my calcuim from keeping trending down and my B1.  Everything else has been good.  I am thankful to you guys and my Dr group for great advice and keeping me in tow.

This week I finally got my daughter back on her meds-someone was swinging lizards on that one.!
Most of my clients cancelled which is bad for the checking account but great for chilling out which is what I did.
Also got to Kohls and bought a few things.  DH went to a soccer game so I went to dinner with a friend.  She showed me the new clothes she bought and it turned out they fit me, too! Yeah!

Good morning Gina. This week has been a marathon at work plus I had a birthday, and everyone wanted to celebrate my birthday with me.  That means people wanted to give me things I really don't like to eat anymore--I managed to survive.

I think I'm in an overtime rut.  Between the hours I'm working and my commute, I don't have a lot of time for the things I really enjoy.  Keeping my nose to the ground is a good way of putting it.  I feel like the summer is going by, and I'm missing out on it.

Hi Gina

Yea - nose to the ground or grind and trudging through.  Told Tom last night I'm back in the "working rut" - meaning I know what day of the week it is again and waiting for Friday to get here.  That's pretty bad when I've only been working 3 weeks...  But - I got my first paycheck today, so that does help a lot!!

Now... tell me about the autoimmune issues.  I haven't heard of that happening before.

Congrats on 4 years and keeping the weight off!  I had a dream the other night I had put on 15-20 lbs and started freaking out.  Then I woke up, so the fear even haunts me in my dreams - lol.

What concerns me are the people who come to the OH boards for help and guidance early out, lose their weight then disappear.  You know they are getting their labs done (probably/maybe) and following their Dr's vitaminand protein recommendations (probably/maybe).  BUT - are they doing what they need to be doing for THEM?

My to-do list is to put my vitamins together, pack for the weekend (going north to a lake), oh and working. Guess I'd better get moving.

I've had a pretty stressful week  negotiationg the contracts for the new ( old )  house which we're discussing with our atty  tonight .    The same house  selling price fifty thousand dollars higher .

We'll be VERY lucky if  we get these contracts signed - the problem is the  sellers want 50,000 up front  and unrefundable and are willing  to give us only 60 days to close .   Its a HUGE   risk then again its the only house of  its  quality  on the market in  long Island remotely in that price range  and itfits our needs perfectly .   Of  course we were  horse ASSES not to close  on it for  six months and we cant blame  the sellers for being hard noseda t all .. its a miracle theyre still talking to us .

Especially since they actually have other buyers under contract right now .  WE HAVE to jump .. im just TERRFIFIED something else is going to go wrong  ...    I guess  Ill be sweating BULLETS  for a few months more for sure

It has been an awesome week for me and dh...

For a change, we haven't stayed still most of the week and today is no different. We are in the process of trying for a home loan so we can move out of this townhouse and into a regular house.

AND it's tax free weekend in TN so we see the clearance racks at Kohl's calling our name...see if I can figure out what size I am now. Last 8's I tried on were a wee bit loose but the 6's I found were juniors and very low cut. Didn't fit.

But we are goiing to be out and about today...

Well after working 14 hours monday and tuesday, it was so nuts at work, I didnt have much energy left of wednesday.
Yesterday I took my 14 and 15 yr olds out shopping for some dress clothes and was surprise to see how much they have grown. They looked so handsome in their dress clothes. Oh how time flies.
Today I hope to do whatever, on vacation now almost 2 weeks.  Yeah! I havent had a vacation in 2 years due to having to use my time for surgery last year. Lovin it!

I am also grateful that I didnt listen to my surgeons program on nutrition. I have not had any major problems postop. My friend who surgery a year before me had a lot of nerve problems in her legs due to vitamin defiencies, which thank goodness reversed. I am so thankful for OH and Vitalady!

Oh what a timely post... You are reading my mind!!! I had iron labs drawn a week or so ago. Trying to figure out why I am so sluggish. And I need to find my initial labs to create the spreadsheet. This weekend for sure. I need to do it!!! My program only calls for iron if necessary. Ugh. I will post my #s this weekend.

Thx
Meg

I've had a good week this week.  I only had to work 3 days!!  I think I could do the part time thing if I could only afford to do it.....

I'm at my parents and enjoying my visit with them.  I feel so blessed because I do still have both my parents and they are actually in pretty good shape.  We went to the mall and walked this morning.  My mom only did one round(3/4 mile) then she drinks coffee.  Dad and I walked 5 laps 3 3/4 miles.  I think DH started out good but then faded fast - haha.  Zumba this afternoon with my sister - so I'm atleast going to get my exercise in today.

I've been doing some contract work for another library and am ready to be through with it.  I hate having to fit in extra work at night and on the weekends - way too many fun things to do now.  I used to work a full time and part time job and it didn't bother me, but it sure does now.  Hope I can fini**** up this weekend and be finished for good.

Hope they keep your contract at work Gina.
