scar question

i know there are many differant procedures for WLS but i have a scar question for two specific ones.... the DS and the RNY


where are the scars at and how big are they ??? are the thin, thick, long, short, how many are there, etc...???

I had a laparoscopic vsg. The amount of scars will depend on your doctor and his technique, some have a "spider" and do one incision only.  My doctor sewed you up on the inside, used glue and sstrips, not staples.  It will also depend on how you heal.

Course if you have an open surgery - then you may have fewer incisions but definitely longer!

So, you can see, most of anything that looks weird - is the abuse I did to my poor skin stretching it out so!  the scars have to be pointed out! 

 wow U have nice abs there  beautiful Brandilynn  !!!  what an inspiration U are  to the rest of us   U  weight  lifting smooth  skinned tight  skinned Hottie  U !

Thanks babygirl!!  My funny little tadpole belly and my belly button that is a dash instead of an O kind of cracks me up. 

Much more amusing than my bumflaps, but I will take them too!  :}

Minimal scarring... just takes time for them  (5 to 6 - 1/4" to 3/4") to disappear.  Should be the least of anybody's concerns in my sometimes humble opinion.  LOL  :-)

 no scars here  Doll 2 1/2  years post   that scar gel really works lol !

Ava - I HATE you!!! . I don't say that to many people, but my GOD girl - you look freeking awesome!!  But, in a loving way... .

My thighs is where I've gained.  I tried on some dresses that last year I thought showed my thighs - ugh.. and this year... not sure I can wear them...  They fit but...

 

OMG look at how gorgeous you are.  I love your legs. how do you look so great?  Have you had any plastics at all?

okay....i'm starting my friday being green with envy!!!  oh my gosh.....AVA....YOU LOOK AWESOME!!!  i'll have my tummy tuck 9/6 so that will be better...but....dang!!!  i didn't have thighs like that when i was stinking 16 years old!!!  oh my gosh!!!  yep....i'm definately green!!  GREEN!!  you hear me!!!!  GREEN, GREEN, GREEN!!!!  but i'm also so very proud of you, Ava!  you've worked hard and you can certainly see the fruit of your labor!!

my PS also took a look at my awful thighs....said the only thing to help them is the lateral surgery that leaves the scar all the way down to the knees!  oh well.....maybe that's phase 2 of PS if i survive phase 1! 

Ava.....all joking aside!  you look fabulous and i'm so very proud of you!!!
