Caloric Intake
I know I should know this but I don't.. and I wanted to tap your brains and experience. I am a newbie but at the point where I am eating soft and chewing well... I haven't found anything I can't tolerate... I am getting in all my protein but what should I be aiming for as far as carbs and calories in order to insure the best loss rate.. I have no idea :( TIA
My program recommends:

Damn, OH. It ate the rest of my post. I can try again but I bet it eats that too.
< 800 calories
< 40 g carbs
< 30 g fats
> 70 g protein (70-90 is the recommendation but more than 90 is okay and encouraged)
ETA Nope this time it worked.

We were not given any advice in terms of carbs, calories or fat. We were told to track protein and fluid, that's it. I did fine with that until I hit a big slowdown in Janurary. After only losing a few pounds that month, I changed to low carb and keep them under 40, protein over 100. That has worked well for me until now and I think I am just close to the end of losing. My calorie range has been 800-1000.

I found that at first I could tolerate founds very easy...after about three months I could really start feeling the restriction..im thinking because maybe some nerves were cut and I just couldn't "feel" my stomach very well..that might be happening to you too, that is why its important to be measuring foods at first to make sure you aren't over doing it..Anyway, at this point I am getting about a thousand calories in..for the longest time I was only able to get in anywhere from 600-800 with carbs under 50 and protein 60 or more a day..A year later those carbs are sneaking back up so I highly recommend using some sort of program to track that for you..
