Got the green light today
Dr K today explained all the surgery options, asked me what I thought and why? so I was able to present my case with my issues and he was ok with doing DS surgery, but said he wants to do a 150cm common channel with me and explained that he felt that any shorter would be to much malabsorption for my body type.
He also wants me to start 30,000 IU Vit D with 10,000 3 times a day.
I have my endoscopy scheduled for next week Thursday and they said they can't give a surgery date since I have one set of labs they are waiting for which they should get this week and the results of the endoscopy, But did say it should be 2 to 4 weeks max after all the results are in and everything passes on the labs and scan.
Insurance no problem and a green light, all they have to do is verify my insurance since everything is met.
One thing I got from the behaviorst today is pretty cool and that is this website
www.unjury.com/store/protein/protein_tools/pdcaas.html
You can put in all the info from your proteiin into this calculator and it will tell you how much of your protein you actually absorbing and how much is going into the sewer! Pretty cool.
I did the optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey that im taking, It says that you will absorb all 24 grams of protein with none wasted. He was showing me another brand, I don't recall which, but only 7 grams out of 20 was absorbed by the body. He got this info from the nutritionist which I will see after the surgery.
They said they found out that it worked best doing the Nut after cause most people are to hyped up or over loaded and have a hard time keeping it under control and either go overboard with it or just don't do enough.
So with that being said, Lets all figure out what protein were taking and maybe make a thread so we know which one has the best absorbtion and the worst.
We might find out that cheaper could be better?? or maybe not
What do you think about doing that?
The protein thing sounds interesting and I will try it if I can figure it out. I wonder if all of them list all that stuff. So far, I have just tried to stick with whey isolate since it is suppose to be the easiest to absorb.

Otherwise we could all be sitting home doing the lable search on everything and wasting a lot of time instead of using the power of all of us :-) and just do it once.
Things are moving at a much faster pace than I antispated thats for sure but im glad it is.
I put IDS Mulit-Pro Vanilla-Cinnamon in the calculator and came out with 100 PDCASS.

Glad to hear things are moving in the right direction for you.
As for the protein, preop I could tolerate almost anything, but postop my tastes changed dramatically. I finally found about time protein. It is what I use every day and my protein levels are good, so I assume absorption must be ok. On the website they have trial packs. Tryabouttime.com I think is the site.
You will find we all have our favorites, its finding the one you can handle postop.
