HELP!
I had nausea issue post sleeve surgery. Sugar free popsicles helped a lot (counted as 2 oz. fluid). Also Powerade 0, a sports drink. When all else failed I had chicken broth. The nurse said not to worry about protein or other parts of our program, just be sure to get liquids down.
Hang in, it will get better, even though it feels awful right now.

As Price said, try something warm....hot cocoa (they have a low sugar one)......I am REALLY hoping you do not need to be scoped again (sometimes people need this done several times).....sugar free popsickles worked well for me as well as power ade zero....also ramen broth......I craved something savory and this did it.....stick to jus****er for now if that doesnt make you feel sick and then add something else.
Hope one of these suggestions work......remember this stress is short term and it WILL get better!!!!

My first thought was...is she still on anything that would lower blood sugars? I don't know if you are taking any meds such as insulin or metformin (glucophage) but that is what immediately popped in my head.
I WAS an insulin dependent diabetic but about two weeks after surgery my blood sugars headed WAY down and I spent too many days chasing them back up. After a couple of days, I disconnected my insulin pump and monitered them almost hourly. IF I went high, I treated with insulin, low with something to bring them back up...
But you haven't said if you were on any meds that could affect your blood sugar.

Thanks everybody. I just got a little bit of yogurt down. The chicken broth I had earlier made me kinda sick. I am not on any kind of meds besides nexium and multivitamin. I am still shaky, I tried the spoonful of peanut butter, and that was a no go for me as well. I know at this point it will be hit or miss. I guess I'm just scared, since my surgeons were totally freaked out when my blood sugars dipped down so low. You all have great advice.
I couldn't tolerate anything sweet after sleeve surgery even if it was sweetened with splenda. Milk also didn't agree with me.
The advice I took was to heat chicken noodle soup, strain out the solids, and to eat the broth. That really worked for me. Regular broth out of a can tasted disgusting to me.
