A year already?!
I have lost 87% of my excess weight, I am no longer diabetic or hypertensive. My fatty liver is improved and I can shop in regular stores. I can ride a roller coaster and buckle the seats. I can paint my toenails without wanting to pass out or getting charlie horses around my ribs.
It has been a year of great changes. I love being able to wear my wedding ring again. Love, love my yoga classes!
My labs are ok, working on some iron issues and cant wait to get my thyroid straightened out. I hope that will put the ice queen on defrost mode! Maybe I will be able to knock out a few more pounds and break this stall. I have been bouncing between 132-134 for about 2 months or more.
My vit d level came back at 104! Thanks vitalady for the 50000 units of d. I have been low for years in spite of supplementation.
A big thanks to my LW godesses ( and the few gods too)! With your support, I would not have been able to be successful.
This year has also taught me how much I relied on food to bury my emotions. How I still need to learn on how to set boundaries with people in my life.
I also need to learn to be assertive. New concept. I am very passive by nature, and aggressive on occassion. Thank goodness for the psych dept!
It has not always been easy, but its been well worth it!
With much love ~~ Maria

I'm so glad you're realizing the rewards of your WLS decision. I'm sure that when you get your thyroid working again, you'll lose more.
I've found it nearly impossible to lose when mine is off, and I've not had a TSH as high as yours in years. I ask to get my dosage adjusted anytime it goes above 2.5. About 3 weeks ago, my dosage was adjusted, and I'm feeling a lot better.
